Here’s the latest weekly DRG STYLE INDEX ranking, a round-up of the brands currently buzzing on my radar…

1. BURBERRY’S ILLUSTRATED CAMPAIGN

When the chips are down… hire an illustrator. Loving these paintings by Luke Edward Hall that add a personal touch of emotion to Burberry’s latest Mario Testino-shot campaign.

2. LOUIS VUITTON’S LONG-AWAITED FRAGRANCE

Louis Vuitton fragance is coming in September
The much murmured-about Louis Vuitton fragrance is finally becoming a reality. Launching in September after years of speculation, early reports suggest we should expect notes of rose, jasmine and leather. The nose is in-house perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud (who previously created L’Eau d’Issey and Stella McCartney), a Grasse native who grew up peering through the gates of Les Fontaines Parfumees, where Vuitton’s fragrances are being made. 3. CHRISTOPHE LEMAIRE’S NEW UNIQLO ROLE

Christophe Lemaire Uniqlo
Christophe Lemaire has found his comfort zone at Uniqlo. This week it was announced that he is now the artistic director of Uniqlo’s newly established R&D Centre in Paris, while continuing to work on his own line. The first official fruits of his label will be the new “Uniqlo U” line, set to be unveiled early next month for delivery in stores for AW16.

4. NARS ARRIVES IN COVENT GARDEN

NARS covent Garden boutique
Attention Narsissists! Ok, you probably already know this but the new NARS boutique is now open in Covent Garden (9 King street, WC2) and it’s as sleek and sexy as you’d expect. The latest addition to Covent Garden’s ‘beauty quarter’, my favourite feature is the display wall of top 10 cult classics. When you lift up one of the products, information on how to use it will miraculously appear on the screen. Plus, look out for the limited edition NARS Orgasm compact (£28) which can be found in store or online HERE.

5. CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN X JAEGER-LECOULTRE

Christian Louboutin X Jaeger LeCoultre collaboration

Who knew that a Christian Louboutin X Jaeger-LeCoultre’s collab could be such a good match? To celebrate 85 years of Jaeger-LeCoultre, the two have created a collection of Reverso watches including these snazzy-strapped numbers. I’m loyal to the classic, understated Reverso (I’m still mourning the loss of mine after it fell off my wrist a few weeks ago), but I love the dymamic colour treatments of these. Watch the film here.

6. CASELY-HAYFORD FOR WOMEN

Casely-Hayford launches womenswear

I’m old enough to remember the first time Joe Casely-Hayford did womenswear. I still have one of the sweaters, an amazing navy cable-knit piece with cutaway shoulders that I can’t bear to part with. Yesterday saw Casely-Hayford launch a womenswear component as part of the LCM show, which introduces its new by-appointment personal tailoring and bespoke service. The service will allow customisation of a number of pieces straight from the runway.
